Darker than black- revisted & New Daily Anime Releases

This series has been picked up by quite a few subbers the best one in my opinion is shinsen-subs. The series has quite a dark tone with plenty of violence and gore. It is about a secret organization who's purpose we still don't know. What I do know is that there was something that landed or appeared in parts of the world and certain people were given "contracts" that give them super human abilities. But each time they use thier power they have "renumerations" that they must do as part of the "contract" such as after using thier power they have to smoke a cig, or drink beer. Other have more obscure things like folding pages in a book or drinking childrens blood. Some pretty nasty stuff.

The story seems to revolve around something called the gate. But I have no idea what this gate thing is. But it seems that everyone is scared to death of it. One contractor fights and kills other contractors for some secret org. Not quite sure what thier purpose is or why they do it. But he is super uber and apparently he has no renumeration that we know about.

The anime series has never been boring and has lots of mysteries. The action is top quality and exciting. The origional powers and renumerations for each contractor keep things interesting. I just wish they would hurry up and tell us more about this gate thing. I am not sure if I should be rooting for the main focus of the series or the other guys as none of them seem to really be good. the main character even kidnapped a woman and tortured her for info. Not something I expect from my series hero's.

Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica and Daily Anime Releases

This series being subbed by Yesy-Fansub seems to have some promise. It looks like the story is based around humans and spirits living together in the world and a young boy who is singing forms a contract with a powerful spirit. Apparently through music he can activate her powers. This looks to be a harem series with lots of girls and spirits fawning over our hero. I wont say it has a lot of ecchi humor but seems to be going more for fantasy type action.

It is one I will defintely keep watching as I tend to enjoy these type of shows. But seeing as only one episode so far can't really tell you too much. I may update my review later depending on the next few episodes.

The Skull Man and todays Anime Releases

This series is being subbed by Makoto fansubs. it appears to be a mystery at least for now. as we follow a tabloid journalist and a young girl photographer (he picks up on his way to the story.) They seem to live in a police state japan where travel and just ordinary daily life are restricted by the goverment. The reporter gets wind of strange incidents of murder that are said to be caused by a skeleton man. On his first night in his old town he comes face to face with the skeleton man. But after being knocked unconcious and found next to the recent victim he is blamed for the murder but is let go thanks to his uncle being a goverment officer of sorts. Now he is even more motivated to find the ansers and win his big scoop.

The series is pretty good animation quality and characters are well developed and interesting. There are so many unknowns and after only two episodes I have no idea who the skeleton man is but the series gives lots of hint's the problem is everyone seems suspicious.

This is a good one to watch if your looking for a mystery with some fantasy elements.
