Kiss Dum: Engage Planet, subbed by Mendoi is looking to be a good one. The first 4 episodes are kind of hard to follow. Not quite sure what is going on and why. But episodes 5 and 6 seem to slow things down and start the story on a linear path. The story seems to be about some kind of invasion from another dimension. Almost as though its hell on earth with all kinds of strange beasts, monsters and bugs trying to wipe out all of humanity. To stop this a group of humans are trying to find the book of the dead which will allow them to fight the creatures. Through a series of events I wont spoil Shu becomes the necro diver and start on his journey for revenge and to save all of humanity.
My take on this series is its gonna get good! I am hoping this gets more exciting and fun. This is not a show for the kiddies with just about every character you get to know being slaughtered before your eyes. "So you like that new character they just introduced us to... OK well she dies a gruesome death." That seems to be the most shocking thing about this series so far. I mean I have not seen and anime in a while that is this dedicated to killing off loved characters. Mind you given the situation and everything its probably the most realistic portrayal of the end of the world.
Shu who is suddenly given all this power in exchange for his humanity also got new friend who only he can see who is constantly belittling him saying "you are not worthy" as it were to be the ultimate weapon. Soon she is joined by others saying the same things. Occasionally makes for some comic relief as he is trying to be all macho and fight and suddenly there she is saying "you suck."
Anyways it is a fun series check it out by all means.
